Office closure – Stage 4 Restrictions

We are now included in the latest Victorian State Government’s Stage 4 restrictions for Metropolitan Melbourne, effective from 11:59 PM Wednesday, 5 August.

As such our offices will close Wednesday, 5 August at 5:30 PM.

We will however continue to work remotely from home.

To support businesses impacted by these restrictions, one-off grants will be made available to eligible businesses under the Business Support Fund – Expansion program:

  • $10,000 for employing businesses in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire in recognition of spending longer under restrictions
  • $5,000 for employing businesses in regional local government areas (except Mitchell Shire)

Q: Can I visit your office to sign paperwork or drop off documents?

Answer: No, Stage 4 Restrictions mandate that we most close the office and continue to work remotely.

Q: When will the office re-open?

Answer: The new restrictions will last until mid-September. We plan on re-opening as soon as permitted.

Q: Can I still contact your office via phone?

Answer: Yes, we will continue to answer the phones and direct your messages to our team members as required. We ask for your patience as response times will be impacted.

Q: I want to lodge my tax return during the lockdown – what can I do?

Q: When is my tax return due?

Answer: For most taxpayers your 2020 tax return is not due until 17 May 2021 – if you are unsure please contact our office.

Q: Will I be fined for late lodgements during the lockdown period?

Answer: No, you will not be penalised for late lodgements due to factors outside your control – we are in the process of applying for client deferrals to give plenty of time for lodgements.

Q: How can I sign my tax return or other documents?

Answer: We will email your tax returns via HelloSign, which allows for electronic signing and lodgement.
